Seth Veenstra, Programs Assistant

After graduating university in 2008 with an Honours English B.A., Seth spent the next seven years working as a reporter, editor-in-chief, and communications consultant. When he and his wife moved to Hanover in 2015, he was immediately drawn to the excitement surrounding Launch Pad. He began his time at the centre as a volunteer and within a few months came on board as programs assistant. From the start he’s been inspired by the young people who choose to spend their time at Launch Pad: how energetic, creative, fearless, open, funny and honest they can be. He loves seeing youth gain a deeper understanding of their community through Launch Pad projects, whether it’s participating in the Eat Well Farmers Market, helping to organize fundraisers, or hosting political debates. Besides facilitating community engagement projects Seth also loves to organize arts and music workshops.
